 An Historical place 

Pethkilla is an historical and important place in Ratnagiri city of Mahabharata State in India. The great King Shivaji Maharaj knew the importance of this area and built a fort here , which is known as Pethkilla. 


Meaning of Pethkilla


Peth means market and killa means fort. Pethkilla means a fort having a market center or a place of selling and purchasing goods, vegitables, fruits,  food items, equipments , furniture and so on , called as Market Yard or bazarpeth.
